The Light as a scenic element: case of the show "The Great Serpent" (assembly of the Imbuaça Group / 2010)

This work aims to analyze the lighting contained in the show "The Great Serpent" (2010) of the Imbuaça Group of Sergipe, showing that the scenic lighting as a communication instrument allows the creation of atmospheres. For the development of this monograph the method of research adopted was qualitative, through the instruments of observation, bibliographical readings, questionnaires, structured interviews with directed questions, previously established with the illuminator of the show, cast and direction. The structure of the development of this research includes, in addition to the introductory and concluding chapters, two chapters titled: From the Beginnings of Natural Light to Artificial Light, and The Illumination of the Part "The Great Serpent." In this way, the work aims to refine the senses and broaden the imagination, and this becomes possible thanks to the essential role played by the light in a spectacle that besides functioning as a resource for the creation of the scenic space, potentiates the cognition.Este trabalho objetiva analisar a iluminação contida no espetáculo "A Grande Serpente" (2010) do Grupo Imbuaça de Sergipe, evidenciando que a iluminação cênica como instrumento de comunicação possibilita a criação de atmosferas. Para o desenvolvimento desta monografia o método de pesquisa adotado foi o qualitativo, através dos instrumentos de observação, leituras bibliográficas, questionários, entrevistas estruturadas com questões direcionadas, previamente estabelecidas com o iluminador do espetáculo, elenco e direção. A estrutura do desenvolvimento desta pesquisa compreende, além dos capítulos introdutórios e conclusivos, dois capítulos intitulados: Dos primórdios da luz natural à luz artificial, e A concepção da iluminação da peça "A Grande Serpente". Dessa forma, o trabalho pretende refinar os sentidos e alargar a imaginação e, isso se torna possível graças ao papel essencial desempenhado pela luz em um espetáculo que além de funcionar como recurso para a criação do espaço cênico potencializa a cognição.Laranjeiras, S
